Macau 2016 Gaming Revenue 3.3% Less than 2015

Macau posted a 3.1% increase in gambling revenue in January when compared with the same month a year ago.

Gambling revenue in January rose 3.1% to 19.3 billion patacas (USD2.4 billion) from 18.67 billion patacas of January 2015, according to data from Macau’s Gaming Inspection and Coordination Bureau.

The January revenue is 2.8% lower than the 19.82 billion patacas in December. Total revenue decreased 3.3% year on year to 223.2 billion patacas for the year of 2016 from a year ago.
