Most Livable Cities Ranking -EIU 2017

The quality of life in the world we are living is finally improved this year after falling nine consecutive years, the Economist's global livability ranking says. Twice a year, the Economist Intelligence Unit’s Global Livability ranking and overview quantifies the challenges presented to individual's lifestyle in 140 cities worldwide. This year, Australian and Canadian cities once again took majorities in the top ten spots as the world's most livable cities in 2017.

Each city is assigned a score for over 30 qualitative and quantitative factors across five broad categories of stability, healthcare, culture and environment, education and infrastructure. This year the study sees global overall livability improved over the past two years.

Australian and New Zealand cities scored 5 out of the top ten livable cities in the ranking. In Asia, 12 cities ranked in the top 100 in the region.
