[March - 3 - 2020] The Reserve Bank of Australia announced today to lower benchmark interest rates by 25 basis points to a new record low of 0.50%.

"The global outbreak of the coronavirus is expected to delay progress in Australia towards full employment and the inflation target...The Board is prepared to ease monetary policy further to support the Australian economy", the central bank Governor Philip Lowe said in a statement

[March - 3 - 2020] Malaysia's central bank cut its key interest rate to the lowest in 10 years on Tuesday (Mar 3). Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM) lowered its overnight policy rate by 25 basis points to 2.5%, the second reduction to its benchmark rate this year.
